1.jump down your throat / jump all over you.

If someone jumps down your throat, or jumps all over you, they strongly criticize you or scold you.

Janie's parents jumped all over her for forgetting to call them and tell them she'd be getting home late.

2.on your last legs / on its last legs.

If you say you're on your last legs, it can mean you're close to exhaustion, or it can mean you're close to death. If a thing is on its last legs, it's close to breaking or wearing out.

Bobby looks like he's on his last legs. Do you think he can make it to the top of the mountain?

  3.in deep water.

If you're in deep water, you're in some sort of trouble or in a difficult situation.

The company's in deep water now that the tax inspectors have decided to check over the accounts.

  4.a pat on the back.

You've given someone a pat on the back if you've told them they've done something well, or done a good job.

Don't you think Salim deserves a pat on the back for his report? Why don't you tell him it was excellent work? !
